When the Zimbabwe government announced the resumption of school lessons, it was good news to parents and pupils who had to endure disruptions and closure for the past 12 months. Also affected was the Mahewu Feeding Scheme at Dombotombo Primary School run by the Adam Molai Foundation that meant the world to beneficiaries. Over 1,800 pupils benefitted from the programme at its height.
The Foundation is ready to resume the Mahewu program as schools reopen. School authorities are also eager for the resumption of the scheme because of its benefits. School attendance improved markedly because of it, and the pupils look forward to their servings at least 4 days of the week.
