Adam Molai Foundation opens Dombotombo Primary Tuckshop

The Adam Molai Foundation has introduced a self-sustainable project to its partnership with Dombotombo Primary School. The project involves the establishment and stocking of a tuckshop at the school in Marondera.
Foundation Programs Director Nomagugu Matibiri said that her organisation has been in partnership with the school since 2020.
“We have been feeding 1800 children Nutritious Maheu four times a week since last year. This year we are introducing the tuckshop project to the school in line with one of our goals of ensuring that our interventions in vulnerable communities are sustainable,” Nomagugu said.
Mrs Constance Matemayi, the school head at Dombotombo Primary, will help run the tuckshop project, whose proceeds will help introduce a market gardening project.
“We hope the tuckshop will assist the school and its pupils in acquiring educational supplies as well as enable the school to cover their day-to-day expenses,” she said.
The Tuckshop project will assist children who can’t afford school fees and purchase books.
